Privacy Policy
How we handle your details, in plain English. Effective 7 September 2026.
Who this policy is for
This policy covers Leon Property Services, ABN 68 800 187 957, based in Ballarat, Victoria. It explains what we do with your personal information. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to quote and do the work. That is usually:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- The address of the property or site
- Details about the job, including photos you send us
If you pay us by invoice, we also keep the billing details we need for our records. We do not ask for information we have no use for.
Why we collect it
We use your details to:
- Give you a quote
- Book and schedule the work
- Do the job and get to the right address
- Reply to your call, email or enquiry form
- Invoice you and keep the records the law requires
We do not use your details to send marketing you did not ask for.
How we store it
Your details are kept in our email, our job records and our accounting software. Access is limited to the people who need it to run the job. We take reasonable steps to keep the information safe from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. When we no longer need it, and we are not required by law to keep it, we destroy it or de-identify it.
Who we share it with
We use qualified subcontract trades on some jobs. If a subcontractor is doing your work, we give them the details they need to get there and do the job. That is usually your name, your phone number and the site address.
We may also share information with our accountant, or where the law requires it, such as a court order or a safety obligation.
We never sell your information. We do not trade it, rent it out or hand it to advertisers.
Cookies and website analytics
This website does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. Like most websites, our web host keeps standard server logs, which can include your IP address, browser type and the pages you visited. Those logs help keep the site running and secure.
If we add website analytics later, we will say so on this page before or when it starts.
How to access or correct your details
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to fix anything that is wrong. Email admin@leonpropertyservices.com.au and tell us what you need. We will reply within a reasonable time. There is no charge for a normal request.
How to make a complaint
If you think we have mishandled your information, email admin@leonpropertyservices.com.au first. Tell us what happened and we will look into it and come back to you.
If you are not happy with our answer, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top.
